A sophomore on the UT football team was arrested for underage drinking early Sunday morning.
A Knoxville police officer was working an extra job at Wiskey Dix's, on Cumberland Avenue, when the manager of the club escorted the player outside.
Police said Clyde Brendan Downs was arrested around 1 a.m. for underage consumption and public intoxication.
Downs goes by the first name of Brendan, according to his profile on? the university's football website. He is a tight end from Bristol, Tennessee.
