She may be part of a loving family on TV but Modern Family’s Ariel Winter may not have such a happy home life outside of the TV world. There are some serious allegations regarding the teen being abused by her mother and that she is looking to divorce her parents. On the ABC hit sitcom brainy Alex Dunphy seems to have a fantastic, although sometimes kooky family in real life it turns out Winter comes from an abusive home. It has been confirmed that the 14-year old has been removed from her parents home after allegations that she was being abused by her mother. Last month at a hearing a judge determined that there was abuse going on in the home and guardianship of Ariel has been given to her older sister?Shanelle Workman. A judge decided that the mother of the actress, Crystal Workman, was physically and emotionally abusing the teen and it was enough to warrant her removal from the home.
