Japan Airlines could relist by September: report

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- Japan Airlines Co. is looking to relist its shares in September, the Nikkei business daily reported Friday, possibly giving the government-backed business turnaround fund, the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corp. of Japan, a full return on its investment. The airline intends to file an application with the Tokyo Stock Exchange as early as this month, to list its shares again on the bourse's first section, the report said. Japan Airlines filed for protection under the Corporate Rehabilitation Law in January 2010. The firm has conducted a large-scale business restructure, including cutting 16,000 jobs and eliminating unprofitable routes, the report said.
